Crafting gorgeous Christmas decorations can be easy and affordable. Ornament garlands are made simply by stringing ornaments onto wire to decorate your mantle, staircase, bookshelf, etc.
Customize your ornament garland by creating homemade glitter and solid-colored ornaments with your favorite colors. Everything you need to know is in the instructions below!
SUPPLIES:
· Glitter
· Funnel
Glitter Ornament Instructions:
Step 1: Remove the ornament hanger and set aside.
Step 2: Add a small amount (about 3 squeezes) of Glitter-It! into the inside of the ornament and swirl around to coat the entire inner surface.
Step 3: Drain Glitter-It! from the ornament before adding the glitter. Use a funnel to transfer the remaining product from the ornament back into the Glitter-It! bottle.
Step 4: Immediately add about 1 teaspoon of fine glitter. Rotate and shake the ornament until the inside of the ornament is completely covered with glitter.
Step 5: Turn the ornament upside down and pour out excess glitter if necessary.
Step 6: Let the ornament dry for about 10 minutes and replace the ornament hanger.
Solid Color Paint Ornament Instructions:
Step 1: Remove the ornament hanger and set aside.
Step 2: Pour Fluid Art Ready-To-Pour Acrylic Paint inside the ornament to fill about 1/3 of the way to the top. Gently swirl around to coat the entire inner surface.
Step 3: Drain excess paint by using a funnel to transfer the remaining product from the ornament back into the bottle.
Ornament Garland Instructions:
Step 1: Cut the wire to your desired length; leave an additional 5+ inches on each end. String along each ornament by threading craft wire through the ornament top opening. Add a variety of colors and sizes.
Step 2: Secure ends by folding wire into a knot or wrap wire with clear duct tape.
Tips & Tricks:
Use your thumb to cover the opening of the ornaments when shaking (wear plastic gloves if desired).
Pour in additional Glitter-It! if needed when creating ornaments.
