DIY No-Sew Blanket Basket

It’s now March which means that baby boy will officially make his arrival this month! Between newborn prep and organizing our new home, I‘ve been in need of all of the storage options. After searching for stylish baskets at West Elm, Pottery Barn, and Anthropology, I realized how easy it would be to create my own for a fraction of the cost. Enter: my favorite Dollar Store hack to date.
Follow along to see how I transformed a plastic tub from The Dollar Store into a blanket basket. No sewing machine needed!

Supplies:
Beacon Adhesives Fabri-Tac™ Ganxxet 3 MM Cotton Rope Round Plastic Tub From Dollar Store (or any container of your choice: a cardboard box, laundry basket, shoebox, trash can, cylinder glass vase, etc.) Scissors Pillow Case

Instructions:
Step 1: Remove the handles from the plastic tub by cutting them off with scissors.

Step 2: Starting at the base of the tub, apply a line of Beacon Adhesives Fabri-Tac™ and immediately press rope into the glue. Apply the glue in 5 – 6 inch sections and then apply the rope. Repeat this process to wrap the entire tub with rope. Push the rope together as you go up to prevent any gaps. If desired, utilize multiple colors of rope. Let dry overnight.

Step 3: Place pillowcase in the basket and pull ends over the rim of the basket.

Follow these blanket basket instructions with virtually any container! Make use of all of those cardboard boxes from your online orders OR repurpose any vase, tub, basket, or planter. Here's what else I created using this technique:
Planter

2. Vase

3. Pen Holder
